What is JALT?

JALT is a shorthand for The Japan Association for Language Teaching. 

It is an NPO whose mission is to promote excellence in language learning, teaching, and research by providing opportunities for those involved in language education to meet, share, and collaborate.

What is Ibaraki JALT?

Ibaraki JALT is a chapter of JALT. We organize events throughout the year where local teachers can meet and share each other's ideas.

Can I join a chapter event even if I'm not a JALT member yet?

Even if you are not a JALT member yet, you are welcome to join our local events

• Face-to-face events: No pre-registration is required.

• Online events: Pre-registration is required. Fill out the form on the event information on our website or our newsletter. 

How much does it cost to join a chapter event?

• Member: You can join all of our events for free. 

• Non-member: Face-to-face event is 500 yen.  Online events are free of charge.
