Joint Meeting with Brain SIG
Theme:  Racking your brain ? Fix it on Brain Day!

Date:  June 8th, 2019 (Saturday)
Venue: University of Tsukuba, CEGLOC (room CA304)   

Speakers: Curtis Kelly & Caroline Handley
Presentation Title: Brain Day Mini-Conference

Summary: In collaboration with the BRAIN SIG, the two Coordinators will give us an all-day workshop on 5 things every teacher should know about the brain and how to use that information in the classroom.  They will discuss discoveries like: no emotion - no learning; the brain is a prediction machine; how the brain is embodied; and so on. You will come up with the classroom applications for using these ideas.

10:00 ~ 12:00:  Morning Presentations
12:00 ~ 14:00:  Lunch/Networking
14:00 ~ 16:00:  Afternoon Presentations
16:00 ~ 16:45:  Business Meeting/Planning Meeting
16:45 ~ 17:00:  Closing

Lunch:  
You can bring your own lunch, or buy one at a Kasumi Store or a Saza Coffee Shop on the campus.  Also there is an Indian restaurant and a bento (takeout) shop near the campus. 

Doors open at 9:30. No Pre-registration necessary!
JALT Members: Free,  Non-members: 500 yen
